Boulder families choose us for who does the teaching. Every Can Do Learners tutor is a certified teacher or a special-education professional. We specialize in kids with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning challenges. Our founder Abby Belasco earned her Master’s in Literacy at CU Boulder, holds National Board Certification, and spent 14 years in Boulder Valley School District classrooms.
Tutoring for Boulder’s Schools
We support students across Boulder’s BVSD elementary, middle, and high schools. Families from Boulder’s independent schools work with us too, including Watershed School, Boulder Country Day, Friends School, and Shining Mountain Waldorf. Our tutors are classroom veterans. They align tutoring with what happens in class and can guide families through BVSD’s IEP and 504 process.

Boulder FAQs
How is this different from an executive function coaching program?
Our coaches are certified teachers and special-education professionals. Coaching starts as young as elementary school. A student who struggles with reading and organization works with one person on one plan.
Do you offer educational assessments?
Our team includes educators qualified to give reading assessments such as the Woodcock-Johnson. An assessment can show where a reader is getting stuck and shape the tutoring plan.
